I’ve done it. To the shock of many, I have renounced my sloth-like habbits of lying on the couch eating chips and watching movies and gotten a job. Not just any job, oh no, I am now officially an employee at Abbott’s Frozen Custard.
Now, I will have you know that this delicious treat is not ice cream. Nor is it frozen yogurt. Or soft serve. This is frozen custard. It’s , ahem, “soft hard ice cream”. And I will also have you know that the scooping of aforementioned frosty snack is not an easy task. There’s is a technique and a “learning curve” as my lovely frosty blonde boss put it. And so, after acclimating myself to my lovely place of work, I practiced scooping.
And that is where my troubles began.
It’s sticky, and creamy, and impossible to scoop properly.
And the scoop can be used as a weapon, as I discovered as a large glob of chocolate custard found its way through the air and smacked into my temple.
But I am determined to beat this custard. And it will be scooped, and it will be served!
Oh, minimum wage has never been this fun!
